Efficiency- to ensure that all required pre-operative assessments, information, and clearance are provided to the surgeon and ambulatory facility in a timely fashion.
 
Consistency- to create a degree of consistency for the pre-operative evaluation, so that all required information, lab testing, etc. are prepared and available to the facility in a consistent fashion. The facility knows what to expect, and there is a degree of standardization.
 
Quality- Because protocols, forms and patient instruction information will be jointly developed by Comprehensive and the facility medical director and/or anesthesiologist, we hope to eliminate variation in the process, which improves quality.
